Electrical Building Inspector

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical inspections on new construction, remodels, and additions
• Review electrical plans, specifications, and calculations for compliance
• Enforce electrical codes and regulations
• Identify and document any electrical code violations or deficiencies
• Provide guidance and clarification to contractors and builders on electrical requirements
• Prepare inspection reports and maintain accurate records

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Electrical Building Inspector
• Knowledge of local and national electrical codes and regulations
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction methods
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to interpret electrical plans and specifications
• Attention to detail and ability to identify code violations or deficiencies
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
