About the role
Responsibilities
- Develop and supervise the execution of the Preventive Maintenance plan to ensure equipment reliability and availability.
- Perform systematic failure, problem, and performance analysis on equipment to define corrective actions and improvement opportunities.
- Ensure the application of health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards and procedures.
- Manage the performance of direct reports, including conducting annual performance reviews and applying CBA guidelines.
- Optimize equipment maintainability by defining maintenance strategies and providing technical support to emergency crews.
- Manage maintenance cost budgets, technical documentation, and the maintenance information system.
- Support the Engineering area with the research, assessment, and startup of new equipment.
- Maintain a visible presence in the mill to foster employee engagement and assess work process effectiveness.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in industrial maintenance, trades work, or as a hands-on engineering technician.
- 5+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Post-secondary education in an Electrical Trade (442a preferred), Electrical Engineering, or an equivalent field.
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics.
- Familiarity with manufacturing environment safety procedures.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working with PLC, VFD, AC/DC motors, sensors, and High Frequency heating equipment.
- Experience using SAP PM for maintenance management.
