About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on component parts, sub-assemblies, or completed units for aerospace applications.
- Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists.
- Position and assemble components using templates, measurements, and fastening tools.
- Verify specifications by measuring finished components to ensure quality.
- Maintain accurate daily production and quality records.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage supplies to ensure continuous production.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment in compliance with all regulations.
- Support production schedules, including potential overtime or alternate shift hours.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent (e.g., GED).
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant assembly experience.
- U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or granted refugee/asylee status).
- Ability to lift and move parts or equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
- Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronics manufacturing processes, specifically soldering, torque tools, and adhesive application.
- Experience with optical component assembly, such as fiber optics and lenses.
- Demonstrated ability to follow complex work instructions.
- Previous experience working in a professional production environment.
