Electrical and Instrumentation Technician

Responsibilities

• Maintain automated processes through troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and on-the-spot machine repair
• Identify and examine production equipment failures using root cause analysis and electrical schematics
• Investigate and repair electrical and mechanical systems including pneumatics, hydraulics, DC circuits, drives, and conveyors
• Implement electrical improvements to optimize operating line results
• Collaborate with operations and support departments to meet business needs

Requirements

• 2-year Technology degree in a related field, electrical experience, or military experience in an advanced electronics field
• Proficiency with PLC (Rockwell), VFD, HMI (panel views), and Motor Control Systems including Servos
• Ability to read and interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, prints, schematics, and computer programs
• Physical ability to stand for long hours, work at various heights, and lift up to 50 lbs
• Availability to work a rotating swing shift schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office
