About the role
Responsibilities
- Design and develop wire harnesses and interconnects for cleaning machines, circuit boards, and controllers
- Create and maintain wiring diagrams, schematics, and ladder diagrams
- Utilize PTC Creo to create components in the library and manage cabling/schematics
- Perform circuit analysis and power analysis for low voltage components
- Collaborate with electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines to ensure design goals are met
- Work with suppliers and vendors to ensure correct interpretation and implementation of harness designs
- Participate in the development of test requirements and conduct functional, operational, and reliability testing
- Perform failure analysis on control system components related to cabling issues
- Provide technical support to manufacturing assembly lines and other internal departments
Requirements
- 4-year engineering degree
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical system and harness design/development
- Strong proficiency in 3D model design using PTC Creo cabling and schematics
- Deep understanding of low voltage electrical systems, ladder diagrams, and wiring diagrams
- Hands-on experience with electrical laboratory tools
- Valid US Visa and Passport
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of wire gauge sizing, current ratings, and regulatory standards
- Working knowledge of electrical motors, controls, and electronic circuit functions (analog, digital, and micro-controllers)
- Experience with battery and charger applications
- Familiarity with electrical-hydraulic controls and industrial vehicles
- Proficiency with electrical test equipment such as multimeters and cable testers
- Understanding of mechanical and hydraulic systems
- Knowledge of manufacturing and plant assembly processes
