Electric Propulsion Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electric propulsion architectures for electric and hybrid mobility platforms
• Lead the integration and operation of PMSM motors, axial flux motors, inverters, and high-voltage battery systems
• Define system architecture, electrical interfaces, and communication logic between propulsion components
• Collaborate with PLC and software teams to define communication logic and signal mapping using protocols like CAN Bus, CANopen, Modbus, and NMEA 2000
• Support battery integration, thermal management, and cooling system design for motors and inverters
• Perform load testing, validation, diagnostics, and performance optimization of electric propulsion systems
• Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for equipment integration and technical support

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electric propulsion, EV systems, or industrial electric drives
• Hands-on experience with PMSM motors, axial flux motors, inverters, and HV battery systems
• Strong understanding of HV safety, electrical protection, and energy management systems
• Proficiency with communication protocols including CAN Bus, CANopen, Modbus, and NMEA 2000
• Strong troubleshooting and system integration capabilities
