Elections Deputy

Responsibilities

• Assist in organizing and preparing for elections, including candidate registration, ballot development, and processing ballots for mailing
• Oversee the programming and updating of computerized election equipment
• Process voted ballots to ensure accuracy and integrity in compliance with state statutes and regulations
• Manage voter registration tasks, including registering voters and maintaining accurate voter records
• Prepare official records and reports, such as certified election results and statistical information for the Secretary of State
• Perform general office operations, including issuing voter cards and maintaining election materials
• Manage and edit content for the department's webpage and social media channels

Requirements

• Familiarity with state and federal election laws and regulations
• Proven ability in project planning and organization
• Proficiency with computer keyboards and peripheral equipment
• Strong general office skills
• Valid Driver’s License with proof of automobile insurance
• Must have an acceptable background record
• Must be a registered voter of Grant County
