ELA Teacher

Responsibilities

• Lead full-day, in-person English/Language Arts instruction for middle school student-athletes
• Facilitate large-group lessons, individual pull-out sessions, and proctored assessments
• Manage a combination of onsite instruction and ALVS virtual course assignments
• Use student performance data to differentiate instruction and monitor academic progress
• Build trust-based relationships with students, families, and program staff
• Participate in monthly off-site leadership program sessions and tri-weekly program resets
• Maintain compliance with Nevada-specific educator requirements and safety standards

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree
• Active Nevada state teaching license
• At least three years of in-person classroom teaching experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to travel monthly for off-site program events
• Willingness to complete Nevada Livescan and FBI fingerprinting

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with differentiated instruction and data-driven practice
• Experience managing multiple instructional formats in shared classroom spaces
