ELA Instructor

Responsibilities

• Teach four periods of ELA and/or Advisory using provided lesson plans
• Utilize instructional technologies including Brightspace, GSuit, and Zoom
• Implement adjustments to pacing and activities based on student needs
• Calculate grades using rubrics and provide actionable feedback within one week
• Maintain a responsive and restorative classroom culture
• Attend scheduled meetings, professional development, and debriefs
• Meet with instructional coaches to implement classroom observation feedback

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a content-related field
• Teaching certification or K-12/college-level teaching experience
• Experience working with high school-aged students
• Expertise in advanced high school English and Humanities
• Ability to use a reliable personal laptop
• Proficiency with technological learning systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of student-centered pedagogy
• Knowledge of Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
• Certifications or education in Instructional Technologies
