About the role
Responsibilities
- Plan and write rigorous academic ELA content and lessons for grades 3-12
- Curate texts and resources that meet high standards for rigor, relevance, and instructional value
- Peer review content components for standards alignment and design principles
- Manage workflow across multiple concurrent projects with strong attention to detail
- Collaborate with Academic and Product teams to meet development deadlines
- Iterate on content by generating multiple drafts and incorporating feedback
Requirements
- 5+ years of teaching experience
- Bachelor's degree in English, history, or a related humanities field
- In-depth knowledge of college- and career-readiness standards in ELA
- Strong reading, writing, editing, and analytical skills
- Must be US-based and available to work during 9 AM - 5 PM EST
- Demonstrated understanding of best practices in ELA instruction
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional curriculum writing experience in English language arts
- Experience with the challenges of rolling out curriculum and technology in schools or districts
- Familiarity with contemporary, diverse literature and current ELA research trends
- Ability to work successfully on collaborative, cross-functional teams
