EIC Measurement Technician

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, test, repair, and maintain compressor stations, meter stations, and communication systems.
• Oversee the installation and repair of measurement and regulation equipment, including meters, flow computers, transmitters, and regulators.
• Perform routine and major maintenance on natural gas driven compressor units and associated auxiliary equipment.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair electronic, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.
• Maintain power, process controls, programmable logic controllers (PLC), and electric generation equipment.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems using test equipment such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
• Maintain accurate written records for DOT auditable inspections, calibrations, and gas quality analysis.
• Utilize SAP to complete work orders and manage job plans.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a related industry.
• Thorough understanding of Stop Work Authority (SWA) and safe work practices.
• Knowledge of Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) procedures.
• Basic knowledge of engine mechanics.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.
• Ability to be subject to 24/7 call-out for emergency response and work extended hours/weeks as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree with coursework in engine maintenance, electricity, or electronics.
• Experience with Allen Bradley controls.
• Experience with various types of gas measurement testing equipment.
• Proficiency with PLCs, pneumatic and electronic valves, transmitters, and regulators.
• Ability to interpret technical reference documents, blueprints, and schematics.
