EIC Controls Technician

Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, test, repair, calibrate, and maintain natural gas compression and auxiliary equipment.
• Maintain electronic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical control systems, including aero-derivative and VFD electric-driven compressor units.
• Perform installation, commissioning, and repair work on compressor station equipment and custody transfer measurement assets.
• Troubleshoot shutdown devices, fire and gas systems, HVAC, UPS devices, control valves, and PLCs.
• Coordinate and monitor contractors or subcontractors during outages, projects, and turnaround activities.
• Ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety standards, including issuing work authorizations and conducting hazard reviews.
• Complete administrative functions and use digital tools for work management, reporting, and maintenance documentation.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 4 or more years of related work experience.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to provide a driver’s abstract.
• Ability to lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including kneeling, bending, climbing ladders, and working in adverse weather conditions.
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations, overtime, and emergency support.

Preferred Qualifications

• Journeyperson, Red Seal, or equivalent trade certification in Electrical, Instrumentation, Controls, or a related discipline.
• Experience with industrial automation, PLCs, and VFD applications in a field environment.
• Qualified Electrical Worker Certification.
• Experience using SAP or other computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
• Knowledge of natural gas compression, custody transfer measurement, or pipeline facilities.
