About the role

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, calibrate, test, and clean plant electrical equipment in accordance with site safety and operating procedures
  • Identify and implement equipment improvements to increase plant reliability
  • Manage and troubleshoot plant electrical equipment upsets, abnormal conditions, and emergencies
  • Assist in the coordination of daily maintenance planning and participate in unit shutdowns and start-ups
  • Maintain process material records and adhere to good housekeeping practices
  • Communicate technical issues and job completions to operations employees and supervisors

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an electrician or controls technician in an industrial, military, or manufacturing environment
  • Documented plant electrician training or certification
  • Valid US motor vehicle license
  • Ability to work in compact and confined spaces
  • Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis

Preferred Qualifications

  • Automation background
  • Education in or experience understanding industrial automation systems
