EHS&S Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Interface with plant personnel to ensure necessary programs, systems, and data collection support regulatory requirements
• Integrate environmental requirements into project plans and perform field verification
• Manage air permitting activities, including negotiations and compliance for Washington and California agencies
• Oversee industrial wastewater testing and permit compliance
• Manage stormwater compliance and hazardous waste programs, including waste characterization and disposal
• Prepare annual CERS submissions, waste reports, and air permit data
• Conduct environmental audits and inspections to identify risks and implement corrective actions
• Set strategy for source testing and manage reporting to agencies
• Develop and deliver environmental training for employees
• Assist with environmental incident reporting and root cause analysis
• Collaborate with EHS&S staff to develop and implement environmental initiatives

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional experience building and scaling corporate EHS&S programs in heavy tech, chemicals, automotive, or advanced manufacturing
• Minimum 5 years leading large-scale environmental programs with experience in technology transfer from R&D to high-volume manufacturing
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in EHS, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
• Ability to work onsite in Alameda, CA or Moses Lake, WA with frequent travel (~25%)
• Ability to wear personal protective equipment including respirators and flame-resistant clothing

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
• Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
