EHSS Manager, Discovery Campus

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of EHS professionals, providing mentorship and development to foster a high-performing team.
• Develop, implement, and execute safety and environmental initiatives across multiple sites to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Analyze incident data to identify trends and root causes, recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Conduct regular site inspections and safety audits to identify hazards and ensure prompt corrective actions.
• Partner with HR and Legal teams to manage workers' compensation claims and return-to-work programs.
• Design and continuously improve EHS policies, programs, and KPIs to align with organizational sustainability goals.
• Manage regulatory reporting and maintain essential EHS records, including OSHA logs and waste management documentation.
• Serve as a subject matter expert for new equipment installations and projects impacting EHS compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, environmental science, occupational safety and health, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in EHS workplace environments.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in a regional or multi-site management role.
• 2+ years of supervisory experience managing direct or indirect personnel.
• Strong professional working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer navigation.
• Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in a relevant scientific or safety field.
• Experience in biotech manufacturing, medical device technology, or clinical laboratory environments.
• 10+ years of EHS workplace experience.
• Experience with FDA, CLIA, CAP, or ISO 45001 standards.
• Professional certifications such as CSP, CHMM, CEP, or CIH.
