EHS Technician 3

Responsibilities

• Create, support, and implement strategies to improve safety compliance
• Develop and recommend process or equipment changes to maximize safety and minimize environmental impact
• Educate employees on proper safety procedures, work practices, and policies
• Investigate safety-related accidents, illnesses, and injuries and provide recommendations
• Administer, monitor, and audit safety and health programs to ensure OSHA compliance
• Lead proactive air monitoring efforts to ensure compliance with standard practices
• Conduct root cause analyses and follow up on preventative/corrective actions
• Conduct job hazard analyses for ergonomic improvements and injury prevention
• Monitor accident investigation reports and participate in claim reviews and mediations
• Provide training to production employees and management

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management or a related field
• 5+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 2+ years of experience in team management, development, or project leadership
• Knowledge of OSHA and Workers’ Compensation
• Strong report writing and business correspondence skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational and project management abilities
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
