EHS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant compliance with State and Federal regulations concerning environment, health, and safety
• Manage and administer employee health programs, health testing, and workers' compensation claims processes
• Conduct individual and group training sessions on environmental and safety topics
• Coordinate and facilitate the activities of EH&S Committees and staff
• Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA), root cause analysis, and other EHS projects or initiatives
• Maintain relevant EHS logs and KPI reports, including energy, waste, and water data
• Administer safety incident reporting and EH&S audit/self-inspection programs
• Work with safety consultants, vendors, and governmental agencies to secure compliance resources

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or related certification in a relevant field of study
• 3-5 years of experience in an EHS capacity
• Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED
• In-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and Local OSHA and environmental regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Smartsheet
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding personnel issues and records

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment
