About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure plant compliance with State and Federal regulations concerning environment, health, and safety
- Manage and administer employee health programs, health testing, and workers' compensation claims processes
- Conduct individual and group training sessions on environmental and safety topics
- Coordinate and facilitate the activities of EH&S Committees and staff
- Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA), root cause analysis, and other EHS projects or initiatives
- Maintain relevant EHS logs and KPI reports, including energy, waste, and water data
- Administer safety incident reporting and EH&S audit/self-inspection programs
- Work with safety consultants, vendors, and governmental agencies to secure compliance resources
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or related certification in a relevant field of study
- 3-5 years of experience in an EHS capacity
- Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED
- In-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and Local OSHA and environmental regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Smartsheet
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding personnel issues and records
