EHS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Ensure plant compliance with State and Federal regulations concerning environment, health, and safety
• Manage and administer employee health programs, health testing, and workers' compensation claims
• Conduct individual and group training sessions on environmental and safety topics
• Coordinate and facilitate EH&S Committee activities and staff meetings
• Perform Job Safety Analysis (JSA), root cause analysis, and other EHS projects
• Maintain relevant EHS logs and KPI reports, including energy, waste, and water data
• Administer safety incident reporting and EH&S audit/self-inspection programs
• Work with safety consultants, vendors, and governmental agencies to secure compliance resources

Requirements

• Bachelor's, Associates degree, or certifications in a related field of study
• 3-5 years of experience in an EHS capacity
• Current certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED
• In-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and Local OSHA regulations
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Smartsheet
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
