EHS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute site-specific EHS programs, including Confined Space, Hazard Communication, Waste Management, and Emergency Response.
• Facilitate EHS training programs for new hires and existing employees to ensure regulatory compliance.
• Perform regular EHS inspections to verify compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Monitor compliance obligations and maintain accurate EHS records and documentation.
• Lead coordination for internal and external stakeholders, including compliance audits and agency collaborations.
• Support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the development of corrective actions.
• Assist in reporting and analyzing EHS performance data to inform decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in occupational safety, health, and environmental management.
• Detailed, working knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations.
• Practical experience managing EHS programs in conformance with ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with EHS data management platforms.
