EHS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine safety walks, field inspections, audits, and observations to identify hazards
• Monitor construction, electrical, and operations activities for compliance with OSHA and NFPA 70E
• Support implementation of safe work practices including lockout/tagout and electrical safety
• Educate employees and contractors on safety standards and hazard recognition
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety meetings, and emergency drills
• Review Job Hazard Analyses, permits, and work plans
• Assist with incident, injury, and near-miss investigations and root cause analysis
• Maintain safety records, training documentation, and inspection reports
• Exercise stop-work authority when imminent risks are present

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in safety, construction, industrial operations, or mission-critical infrastructure
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Working knowledge of OSHA general industry and/or construction standards
• Knowledge of incident investigation, root cause analysis, and safety metrics (TRIR, DART)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety documentation tools
• Ability to work the swing shift (3:30 PM to 12:00 AM)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in mining or data center environments

Preferred Qualifications

• OSHA 30-Hour certification
• NFPA 70E electrical safety training
• First Aid/CPR/AED certification
• Professional safety certification (ASP, GSP, CSHO, OHST, CHST, or CSP)
• Experience with high, medium, or low-voltage electrical environments
