EHS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local EHS regulations including WorkSafeBC and Canada Labour Code
• Complete risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies
• Conduct complex incident investigations and root-cause analyses to prevent recurrence
• Maintain accurate documentation of EHS policies, records, and compliance reports
• Prepare and schedule safety training aligned with the EHS training matrix
• Identify and manage improvement opportunities for EHS programs

Requirements

• 5-10 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, or electrical environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
• Knowledge of machine guarding, LOTO, working at heights, and powered industrial trucks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and conduct physical inspections

Preferred Qualifications

• OFA Level 2 certification
