About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, provincial, and local EHS regulations including WorkSafeBC and Canada Labour Code
- Complete risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement mitigation strategies
- Conduct complex incident investigations and root-cause analyses to prevent recurrence
- Maintain accurate documentation of EHS policies, records, and compliance reports
- Prepare and schedule safety training aligned with the EHS training matrix
- Identify and manage improvement opportunities for EHS programs
Requirements
- 5-10 years of progressive EHS experience in manufacturing, industrial, or electrical environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Knowledge of machine guarding, LOTO, working at heights, and powered industrial trucks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management software
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and conduct physical inspections
Preferred Qualifications
- OFA Level 2 certification
