EH&S Specialist

Responsibilities

• Maintain facility training calendar and ensure OSHA-compliant training records
• Facilitate internal safety training using various materials
• Implement EHS programs and safety policies aligned with Federal and State requirements
• Administer the local hearing conservation program and contractor safety manual
• Conduct monthly safety inspections and recommend remedies for deficiencies
• Provide support for workers' compensation cases and interface with medical professionals
• Guide managers on incident reporting and investigation programs
• Promote safety culture through employee communications and data delivery
• Co-chair plant safety committee meetings and facilitate new hire safety onboarding
• Assist Distribution Department with driver safety ride-alongs and motor vehicle investigations

Requirements

• BA/BS degree in occupational safety, science, engineering, or a related discipline
• 0-2 years of related experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of EPA and DOT standards
• Experience in a manufacturing setting, specifically food and beverage
