EHS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary on-site EHS resource for plant operations, providing technical support for occupational health, safety, and environmental compliance.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, hazard reviews, and incident investigations to implement necessary corrective actions.
• Evaluate workplace risks and implement controls to prevent injuries, illnesses, and environmental impacts.
• Support environmental permitting and reporting processes, including air, water, waste, and stormwater.
• Analyze EHS data to identify trends and root causes, recommending preventive actions to site leadership.
• Develop and promote EHS initiatives to strengthen employee engagement and safety culture.
• Partner with leadership to maintain management systems aligned with ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and RC14001.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in environment, health, safety, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional EHS experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word).
• Proven experience leading and conducting root cause analysis.
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Ability to communicate technical information effectively to non-technical personnel.
• Ability to perform physical inspections across various areas including warehouses, utility spaces, and manufacturing zones.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SharePoint or Intelex.
• Experience working with and maintaining sensitive and confidential information.
