EHS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Support compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations and monitor regulatory changes.
• Assist in the design, implementation, and development of safety programs and procedures.
• Conduct EHS training sessions, including safety talks, orientations, and PPE usage instruction.
• Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Perform regular EHS inspections and risk assessments to ensure workplace compliance.
• Manage hazardous waste requirements, including proper labeling, storage, and disposal.
• Maintain accurate safety records, incident reports, training logs, and management reports.
• Promote a proactive safety culture and recommend continuous process improvements.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 2+ years of EHS or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable environmental and safety regulations.
• Strong communication and training skills.
• Ability to conduct inspections, investigations, and present findings effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
• Experience with EHS software.
• Proven experience in risk management and analysis.
