About the role
Responsibilities
- Support compliance with local, state, and federal EHS regulations and monitor regulatory changes.
- Assist in the design, implementation, and development of safety programs and procedures.
- Conduct EHS training sessions, including safety talks, orientations, and PPE usage instruction.
- Investigate workplace accidents, near-misses, and safety incidents to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Perform regular EHS inspections and risk assessments to ensure workplace compliance.
- Manage hazardous waste requirements, including proper labeling, storage, and disposal.
- Maintain accurate safety records, incident reports, training logs, and management reports.
- Promote a proactive safety culture and recommend continuous process improvements.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- 2+ years of EHS or related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Ability to conduct inspections, investigations, and present findings effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
- Experience with EHS software.
- Proven experience in risk management and analysis.
