EHS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Drive comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies and daily safety audits
• Lead incident investigations and risk assessments to implement injury prevention solutions
• Deliver engaging safety training to promote a proactive safety culture among associates
• Serve as a safety advocate and advisor, building partnerships across all levels of the organization
• Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist with site emergency response
• Perform physical tasks including lifting up to 49 pounds and standing/walking for up to 12 hours

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910
• Minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field, a relevant Bachelor's degree, or 6 months of safety experience within Amazon
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity
• Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding security and personnel issues
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a safety-related field
• Experience in worker's compensation case management
• Experience leading and managing a team
• Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns
• Experience in emergency response and current First Aid/CPR certification
