EHS Specialist

Responsibilities

• Drive comprehensive safety programs through data-driven strategies and daily safety audits
• Lead incident investigations and risk assessments to implement injury prevention solutions
• Deliver engaging safety training to associates to promote a proactive safety culture
• Serve as a trusted safety advisor and advocate for associate wellbeing
• Build strong partnerships across all levels of the organization to drive behavioral changes
• Maintain effective care delivery in emergencies and assist with site emergency response

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 1 year in an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) related field OR a Bachelor’s degree in an EHS-relevant background
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, specifically 29 CFR 1910
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel in a professional capacity
• Ability to lift up to 49 pounds and perform physical tasks including pushing, pulling, squatting, and bending
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including days, nights, and/or weekends
• Ability to stand or walk for up to 12 hours during a shift

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in a safety-related field
• Experience leading and managing a team
• Ability to analyze accident data, new processes, and machinery for potential safety concerns
• Experience conducting job hazard and job safety analyses
• Current First Aid and CPR certifications
• Experience in workers' compensation case management
