EHS Safety Engineer

Responsibilities

• Drive the execution of regional EHS strategies for safe and sustainable data center operations
• Lead regulatory compliance programs including audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Partner with vendors and colocation providers to strengthen EHS governance and risk controls
• Champion a proactive safety culture through training and emergency preparedness initiatives
• Utilize data and analytics to monitor performance and identify continuous improvement trends

Requirements

• 5 years of progressive EHS experience in data center, hyperscale, or colocation environments
• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
• Experience managing EHS programs through third-party vendors
• Certification in First Aid/CPR/AED or equivalent
• Strong knowledge of OSHA 29/30, ANSI, ASME, NFPA, DOT, Clean Water Act, and RCRA
• Familiarity with FEMA ICS and NIMS frameworks
• Solid understanding of RCRA compliance and universal waste protocols

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent
• Familiarity with industry frameworks such as NIST, ISO, or SOC 2
• Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Proven project management and organizational abilities
