EHS Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the integration of EHS requirements into all project phases, from design to execution, applying "safety by design" principles.
• Act as the primary EHS interface for project teams, engineering, and contractors.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate risks related to project activities, overseeing risk assessments and ensuring proper controls.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, corporate standards, and permit requirements.
• Support Project Managers in embedding EHS deliverables into project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Define EHS requirements for contractors and vendors, including onboarding, qualification, and supervision.
• Monitor site activities to ensure safe execution during construction and installation phases.
• Investigate project-related incidents or near misses and implement corrective actions.
• Track and report EHS KPIs related to projects and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, Industrial, or Chemical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years of EHS or project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of EHS regulations, compliance requirements, and machinery safety.
• Expertise in Risk Assessment methodologies and emergency management.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 standards.
• Strong safety leadership skills with the ability to influence employees at all levels.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to travel between 10% and 30% as required by projects.
