About the role
Responsibilities
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of EHS programs, policies, and standards across manufacturing and project operations
- Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Construction teams to integrate EHS requirements into project execution
- Provide EHS support for equipment installation, contractor activities, construction, and commissioning
- Conduct risk assessments, job hazard analyses (JHAs), and routine inspections to identify hazards
- Support compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements
- Assist with incident reporting, investigations, and root cause analysis
- Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees and contractors
- Track and report EHS metrics and trends to support continuous improvement
- Travel to support manufacturing facilities and project sites as required
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, or a related technical field
- 7+ years of EHS experience in manufacturing, construction, or industrial environments
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EHS management practices
- Experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS documentation systems
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 75%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with capital projects, equipment installation, and commissioning
- Familiarity with high-risk work controls (LOTO, electrical safety, confined space, fall protection)
- Experience in high-growth clean energy or advanced manufacturing environments
- Familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001
- Professional certifications such as CHMM, ASP, CSP, CIH, or PE
