EHS Manager

Responsibilities

• Carry out site walks to inspect safety and record infringements
• Manage Health & Safety Systems on large-scale construction projects
• Ensure work methods comply with legal, company, and contractor requirements
• Conduct training and competence checks for site staff and sub-contractors
• Produce daily HSE infringement reports
• Assist in design risk assessments and identify project design risks
• Manage the contractor's HSE team and develop HSE plans incorporating OSHA standards

Requirements

• 8-12 years of experience in a Construction Safety role
• Experience with greenfield high-tech manufacturing projects (data centers, clean rooms, labs, or hospitals)
• Strong understanding of risk assessments, Method Statements, and safety auditing
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in both Japanese and English

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety rules, DOSH, or NEBOSH
• Local HSE registration
• Strong leadership skills to influence site compliance
• Ability to provide patient instruction to workers with limited language ability
