EHS Manager

Responsibilities

• Develop, organize, and maintain the company's Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Program to ensure compliance and minimize workplace accidents.
• Act as the primary authority on EHS, ergonomics, and industrial hygiene.
• Coach the leadership team on safe behaviors and techniques to improve safety culture.
• Lead incident and accident investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions.
• Conduct Job Hazard/Safety Analysis (JHA/JSA) for all facility tasks and lead daily Lean Safety Gemba walks.
• Manage EHS software systems and ensure legal compliance with local and federal regulations.
• Maintain EMS ISO 14001 and OHS ISO 45001 programs.
• Coordinate with Human Resources on workers' compensation cases and return-to-work programs.

Requirements

• Associate or bachelor's degree in occupational safety, environmental health science, or a related field.
• 3-5 or 5-10 years of professional experience in occupational safety or environmental roles.
• Strong knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations and reporting requirements.
• Proven experience leading safety events and driving continuous improvements on the shop floor.
• Excellent verbal, written, and analytical skills with the ability to influence all levels of management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in automotive or similar manufacturing environments.
• OSHA 30 General Industry certification.
• Environmental and occupational safety certifications.
