EHS Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, evaluation, and upgrading of safety programs
• Develop and implement safety policies in compliance with OSHA and corporate strategy
• Maintain EHS documentation including OSHA logs, chemical inventory, and training records
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs for covered facilities
• Lead Safety Team meetings and participate in safety activities
• Perform safety inspections, surveys, and post-incident investigations
• Support facility recycling and waste management programs
• Advise the leadership team on safety compliance and preventative actions
• Serve as a technical resource for employee EHS questions

Requirements

• 5-10 years of relevant EHS compliance experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Experience leading a team of direct reports
• Ability to interpret regulations and implement requirements in the work environment
• Knowledge of federal and state regulations including OSHA, RCRA, DOT, and DEC
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Strong report writing and procedural manual creation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety, industrial engineering, or a related field
• Professional EHS certifications such as Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
