EHS Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight for Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) across all German manufacturing facilities.
• Ensure full compliance with all applicable regulatory, corporate, and ISO management system requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance, culture, and operational excellence.
• Act as the appointed Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit, Fire Protection Officer, and Waste Manager as required.
• Lead risk assessments, hazard identification, and the implementation of control measures.
• Develop and deliver EHS training programs to build capability across employees and leadership.
• Manage environmental and safety management systems, including ISO14001 and ISO45001.
• Prepare and report EHS KPIs within the regional and global matrix organization.
• Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities and external stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in engineering, environmental science, occupational safety, or a related discipline.
• Certified Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (ASiG).
• Several years of EHS experience within a manufacturing or operational environment.
• Strong knowledge of German EHS legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office and SAP or similar systems.
• Fluent in both German and English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience implementing and managing ISO14001 and ISO45001 management systems.
• Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard control.
• Experience influencing and engaging stakeholders within a matrix organization.
• Ability to lead change and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
