EHS Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage the plant’s environmental, health and safety (EHS), fire safety and property protection (FSPP) sustainability programmes.
• Develop and implement behavior-based safety (BBS) and proactive reporting initiatives to promote a positive safety culture.
• Ensure compliance with EHS legislative requirements, including laws, regulations, permits, and licenses.
• Implement and maintain hazard identification and risk assessment programmes using the hierarchy of control.
• Manage environmental aspects including emissions, waste, water, energy, and VOCs.
• Lead the investigation of EHS incidents, identify root causes, and oversee corrective actions.
• Maintain integrated EHS management systems (such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001) and coordinate internal/external audits.
• Act as the primary liaison with regulatory authorities, insurers, and internal global stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience, including at least 3 years in a management role within a similar industry.
• Relevant high-level EHS qualification (minimum diploma or local equivalent) or an engineering degree with relevant experience.
• Comprehensive knowledge of EHS legislative requirements and fire safety/property protection insurance risks.
• Proven experience implementing behavior-based safety (BBS) programmes.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English and Danish.
