EHS Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement EHS strategies to ensure physical safety, health, and environmental compliance for over 1,000 employees.
• Develop and deploy operational planning to improve EHS performance and ensure zero injuries and illnesses.
• Perform regulatory assessments and ensure full compliance with Mexican NOM, OSHA, and corporate standards.
• Coordinate risk analysis tools, including JSA, risk maps, audits, work permits, and ergonomics plans.
• Manage the site's Emergency Response Plan and lead the response to external regulatory agencies.
• Oversee the daily management system for safety incidents, including investigations and corrective actions.
• Support the design and execution of EHS training strategies and prevention programs.
• Manage EHS-related budgets, contracts, and procurement processes in compliance with financial guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a science-related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Safety, Environmental, and Health roles.
• Fluency in English (written, spoken, and reading).
• Deep knowledge of Mexican NOM, OSHA, and local environmental/safety legislation.
• Proven experience implementing Environmental, Safety, and Facilities management systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Business Continuity Planning (BCP).
• Strong data analysis and strategic thinking skills.
• Experience managing social security procedures (ST7, ST8, ST9, etc.) and SEMARNAT reporting.
