About the role
Responsibilities
- Maintain the EH&SS Management System and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct site audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify potential hazards.
- Support incident investigations by identifying root causes and implementing mistake-proof solutions.
- Facilitate hazard assessments including PPE, ergonomics, machine guarding, confined space, and fall protection.
- Develop and maintain key safety documentation such as JSAs/JHAs and Energy Control Procedures.
- Manage site security processes, emergency planning, and response protocols.
- Provide regulatory and practical training to site personnel, including the creation of new training materials.
- Track and report on environmental compliance, including waste management, air emissions, and stormwater.
- Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to integrate safety into daily processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of environmental, health, and safety management experience.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EPA/IEPA standards.
- Experience in industrial manufacturing environments (machining or metal working preferred).
- Proven experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training delivery.
- Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally across all levels of leadership and regulatory agencies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, or CHMM.
- Experience with EHS training software (e.g., Cornerstone, Eco Online) and data management systems.
- Experience developing and managing comprehensive EH&SS plans and programs.
