About the role

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the EH&SS Management System and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, risk assessments, and incident investigations to identify potential hazards.
  • Support incident investigations by identifying root causes and implementing mistake-proof solutions.
  • Facilitate hazard assessments including PPE, ergonomics, machine guarding, confined space, and fall protection.
  • Develop and maintain key safety documentation such as JSAs/JHAs and Energy Control Procedures.
  • Manage site security processes, emergency planning, and response protocols.
  • Provide regulatory and practical training to site personnel, including the creation of new training materials.
  • Track and report on environmental compliance, including waste management, air emissions, and stormwater.
  • Partner with operations, engineering, and maintenance teams to integrate safety into daily processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of environmental, health, and safety management experience.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and EPA/IEPA standards.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing environments (machining or metal working preferred).
  • Proven experience with risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety training delivery.
  • Ability to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate professionally across all levels of leadership and regulatory agencies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ASP, CSP, or CHMM.
  • Experience with EHS training software (e.g., Cornerstone, Eco Online) and data management systems.
  • Experience developing and managing comprehensive EH&SS plans and programs.
