EH&S Specialist

Responsibilities

• Review and develop company EH&S policies and procedures
• Research and interpret applicable regulatory requirements from Cal/OSHA, DOT, EPA, and DTSC
• Support manufacturing and operations teams as a primary information resource
• Conduct industrial hygiene sampling, exposure analyses, and area hazard analyses
• Perform injury, incident, and near-miss investigations and trend analyses
• Implement and enforce company EH&S programs and safety protocols
• Conduct regular building and area inspections
• Provide safety training and lead safety meetings for manufacturing and operations teams

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in an EH&S related field
• 4+ years of general work experience or 6+ years of specific experience in the EH&S field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
• Proven experience researching and interpreting Cal/OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations
• Experience developing written programs and company policies
• Ability to obtain and maintain a high security clearance
• Ability to stand or walk for 50% or more of the workday

Preferred Qualifications

• Relevant safety or environmental professional certifications
