EH&S Manager

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the execution of site high-risk EHSS programs, ensuring effective implementation and continuous improvement.
• Implement and maintain site-level programs for activities including LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, hot work, and lifting operations.
• Support safe execution of work through participation in pre-task planning, hazard assessments, and permit reviews.
• Facilitate job hazard analyses (JHAs), safe task analysis (STAs), and other risk assessments for high-risk tasks.
• Coordinate and deliver EHSS training programs related to high-risk work activities.
• Provide EHSS input to site projects, including participation in design reviews and startup activities.
• Conduct periodic inspections and audits to identify hazards and reduce exposure to serious injuries.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED with 10 years of EHS or related experience, OR
• Associate's degree with 8 years of experience, OR
• Bachelor's degree with 4 years of experience, OR
• Master's degree with 2 years of experience.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, NFPA, and EPA regulations.
• Experience managing high-risk safety programs such as LOTO, confined space, and electrical safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or a related science discipline.
• 6 years of experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry managing EHSS programs.
• Experience in project EHS reviews, engineering design, and risk management.
• Familiarity with technical documents including process diagrams, P&IDs, and equipment specifications.
• Experience supporting commissioning, startup, or operational readiness activities.
