Educator

Responsibilities

• Design and implement educational programs, workshops, and activities for diverse audiences, including school groups and families.
• Conduct guided tours, presentations, and demonstrations regarding butterfly biology, ecology, and conservation.
• Create engaging and interactive learning experiences and maintain educational displays throughout the park.
• Develop curriculum and educational materials aligned with current scientific knowledge and environmental education best practices.
• Build and maintain partnerships with local schools, community organizations, and educational institutions.
• Promote awareness of conservation issues and inspire visitors to support habitat preservation.
• Train and mentor staff, interns, and volunteers in educational techniques.
• Evaluate program effectiveness through surveys and feedback to refine educational offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Environmental Science, Biology, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in environmental education, teaching, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of butterfly biology, ecology, and conservation.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, including occasional weekends and evenings.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in a relevant scientific or educational field.
• Experience working with diverse audiences, including children and adults.
