Educator

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program
• Provide a nurturing environment and developmentally appropriate curriculum
• Support the mission and philosophy of the Children’s Center
• Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss practices and plan curriculum
• Engage in nature-based programming, including uninterrupted outdoor play and exploration
• Build sustained, secure relationships with children and their families

Requirements

• Associate Degree in early childhood education or a related field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children birth–8 years
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word
• Valid Driver’s license
• Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of employment)

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in early childhood education or a related field
• Experience with emergent curriculum or Reggio Emilia inspired programs
• Interest in working in play-based and nature-based environments
• Prior experience working in an accredited child care program

• Targeted pay range of $22.20 – $23.45 per hour
