About the role
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the program
- Provide a nurturing environment and developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Support the mission and philosophy of the Children’s Center
- Participate in weekly team meetings to discuss practices and plan curriculum
- Engage in nature-based programming, including uninterrupted outdoor play and exploration
- Build sustained, secure relationships with children and their families
Requirements
- Associate Degree in early childhood education or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children birth–8 years
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Word
- Valid Driver’s license
- Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of employment)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in early childhood education or a related field
- Experience with emergent curriculum or Reggio Emilia inspired programs
- Interest in working in play-based and nature-based environments
- Prior experience working in an accredited child care program

- Targeted pay range of $22.20 – $23.45 per hour
- $1,000 sign-on bonus (after 90 days of eligibility)
