Educator

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality learning environment and manage activities that extend the school day
• Assist in the implementation of classroom curriculum and weekly lesson plans
• Ensure the safety and security of children enrolled
• Follow designated schedule and curriculum to maintain a routine for students
• Effectively attract and retain students through enthusiasm and patience
• Assist with homework completion

Requirements

• Minimum of one year working with school-age youth (ages 4-10) in a school or after-school setting
• Current CPR and First Aid certification obtained through in-person training
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to command respect and run a classroom alone
• Ability to stay active, on your feet, and move quickly to ensure student safety
• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications

• Degree in education
• Relevant experience in childcare or education
