Educational Consultant

Responsibilities

• Facilitate high-quality professional development, training, and on-site support for teachers, coaches, and school administrators.
• Provide tailored support including lesson planning, pacing, and helping educators analyze data to improve instruction.
• Become an expert on company diagnostic and instruction programs, specifically focusing on ELA or Reading.
• Deliver professional learning courses that ensure effective implementation of i-Ready products to impact classroom learning.
• Track and submit detailed training notes and complete all assignments in a timely manner.
• Engage in a continuous cycle of professional improvement through observation and coaching.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• 2+ years of experience teaching ELA or Reading, coaching teachers, or providing professional development in these subjects.
• Strong working knowledge of Common Core State Standards for ELA or Reading (Grades K–8) or comparable state standards.
• Proficiency with digital tools, online assessments, and the ability to discuss and apply data with educators.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to travel up to 80%, including overnight stays and travel across West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New England.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in ELA or Reading.
• Experience with adult learning principles and applying them to professional development.
• Proficiency with online meeting programs such as Zoom or WebEx.
