Education Specialist

Responsibilities

• Deliver group academic support sessions and one-on-one educational support to patients
• Develop comprehensive, tailored education plans to maintain academic standing while prioritizing recovery
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including therapists, psychiatrists, and nurses
• Coordinate with parents, school staff, and tutors to advocate for patient academic needs
• Monitor and track patient educational progress and maintain accurate records
• Stay current on mental health disorder treatments and specialized education best practices

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, education, behavioral sciences, or a related field
• 2-4 years of teaching experience in a classroom or school environment
• Strong knowledge of behavioral health conditions and therapeutic interventions
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Empathy, patience, and a non-judgmental attitude
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Knowledge of educational methodologies and curriculum design

Preferred Qualifications

• Teaching certification
• Experience in behavioral healthcare settings
• Familiarity with laws and ethical guidelines in behavioral healthcare education
