About the role
Responsibilities
- Assist the Tilles Center’s education department with various Theater for Young Audiences (TYA) events
- Provide support through performance, audience services, and production assistance
- Support the delivery of in-school workshops, residencies, and professional development programs
- Perform other duties as needed to support the Arts Education program
Requirements
- Currently enrolled student at Long Island University (LIU)
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work well with educators, families, children, and patrons
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in the arts, education, or business administration
- Interest and enthusiasm for nonprofit performing arts organizations and arts-in-education
- Previous performing or teaching experience
- Experience working with children or K-12 schools
