About the role

Responsibilities

  • Implement the Iowa STEM Scale-Up Program throughout the North Central region.
  • Lead and convene the regional STEM Advisory Board, including managing schedules, agendas, and meeting summaries.
  • Manage program finances, including maintaining accurate award information and providing financial reports.
  • Execute marketing and promotional activities to ensure a strong applicant pool for STEM programs.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with STEM-related businesses, industry leaders, workforce development, and educational institutions.
  • Lead the planning, partnering, and publicity for community STEM Festivals.
  • Support statewide programming such as the STEM BEST Program, Teacher Externship, and STEM Summit.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from an accredited institution.
  • 3–7 years of relevant post-graduate experience (specific pathways include education, administration, finance, data analysis, or communications).
  • Proven experience in program implementation and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proficiency with software, web-based applications, and social media.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical information clearly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated ability to engage, inspire, and advocate for STEM interests.
  • Experience providing technical assistance and professional learning to educators.
  • Ability to manage complex activities and work effectively as a non-traditional leader.
  • Experience in marketing, management, or a STEM-related field.
