Education Director

Responsibilities

• Drive academic excellence by ensuring rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum implementation and instructional fidelity.
• Lead educator development through formal classroom observations, actionable feedback, and individualized coaching plans.
• Oversee assessment systems, including New York State exams, and use data to drive instructional decisions and intervention planning.
• Collaborate with school leadership to establish annual academic goals and support strategic continuous improvement initiatives.
• Foster a positive, inclusive school culture by partnering with leadership to implement restorative practices and PBIS systems.
• Manage talent development, including the oversight of Teaching Assistants and Teaching Fellows.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in a relevant field.
• 6+ years of experience working in education.
• 3+ years of experience in an administrative or leadership capacity.
• Valid New York State Teaching Certification.
• Proven track record in curriculum development, instructional coaching, and data analysis.

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated success as both a classroom teacher and a school leader.
• Experience with educator evaluation and large-scale assessment logistics.
