About the role

Responsibilities

  • Formulate low voltage and software control design solutions for rolling stock to meet customer requirements.
  • Deliver TC&IS engineering outputs, including Functional Design Descriptions (FDDs), Electrical Schemes, and Interface Control Documents (ICDs).
  • Implement development practices and rules as defined in Train Control support plans.
  • Ensure the quality, timeliness, and compliance of all deliverables regarding engineering quality, cost, and delay commitments.
  • Manage and address Change Requests related to the control engineering function.
  • Support supplier interface tests and TC&IS verification tests on PC or TCMS Test Benches.
  • Collaborate with TCMS/TSE System Engineers, Schematic & Apparatus teams, and RAMS & Quality teams.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation, or a related field.
  • 10 years of experience in rolling stock functional engineering, specifically in electrical and schematic design.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, electro-mechanical, or automation engineering (PLC).
  • Hands-on experience with IEC61131-3 software or model-based development tools such as Matlab/Simulink or Control Build.
  • Familiarity with industrial communication networks and topologies, including Serial, Ethernet, and MVB.
  • Strong communication and collaborative abilities to work in dynamic environments.
