About the role
Responsibilities
- Edit daily news stories, breaking news, and special reports using non-linear, computer-based editing equipment
- Deliver high-quality video content in both short and long formats for timely news broadcasts
- Collaborate closely with producers, reporters, and the control room to ensure flawless execution of on-air products
- Source content from feeds and search archives to properly support scripts and storytelling
- Work with Content Management and Engineering teams to report and resolve technical incidents
- Coordinate with master control for the final submission of shows
- Provide creative suggestions for production and continuous improvement of news content
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Communications or equivalent experience
- At least 2 years of professional video editing experience
- Expert knowledge of Avid Media Composer
- Expert knowledge of I-news rundown
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (written and oral communication)
