Responsibilities

• Edit short-form and long-form video content for various network news shows
• Work closely with reporters, producers, and other editors to ensure material is ready for air
• Find appropriate content on feeds and search archives to edit stories to script
• Deliver all video material within tight deadlines to ensure on-time broadcast
• Consolidate all videos for archive once shows are completed
• Edit and send shows or updates to master control
• Report and follow up on technical incidents with Content Management and Engineering
• Maintain flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours during breaking news or hurricanes

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional video editing experience
• Expert knowledge of Avid Media Composer
• Knowledge of I-news rundown
• Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced, breaking news environment
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
